Butterscotch Cookies Recipe

2 cups Brown Sugar
1 cup Shortening
1/2 cup Butter (for flavor)
1/2 cup LARD
2 Eggs
1 cup Almonds
1 tsp Soda
1 tsp Cream of Tartar
1 tsp Vanilla
Sift dry ingredients with 3 or 4 cups of flour. Add shortening etc-
(no milk or water) Shape in rolls and cut or balls.
